Museum of Chincoteague Island Hosts First Annual 5x5 Art Show Fundraiser
A Cinco de Mayo Celebration and a Very Special Art Sale. Celebration outside starts at 5 p.m. Admission $5--Cash bar with margaritas and cervesa/food by Bill's Restaurant/Mariachi music by Three Sheets. Art show opens inside at 5:55 p.m.---no preview---all original works by artists and artisans---all art sized 5 inches by 5 inches and priced at $55 each. 9th Annual Chincoteague Plein Air Painting Event
Art lovers mark your calendars! Over 40 artists will spend 2 days painting outdoors on Assateague and Chincoteague Islands. On Saturday evening the 8th from 6-10 p.m. those framed paintings will be on exhibit for viewing and sale. This exhibition is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served. It will be held in Paschal Hall at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 6288 Church St. in Chincoteague. The Plein Air Event is sponsored by Chincoteague Cultural Alliance and is part of the monthly 2nd Saturday Art Stroll. Come and enjoy a terrific evening of wonderful, diverse art.
